Trusting is Hard

I mean really, really hard

Are you searching for the wisdom to make a tough decision?
Are you afraid of what might happen if you do the right thing?

Have you pulled up roots and embarked on a new journey?
Are you staring down a new road, about to take your first step into the unknown?

Are you weary from carrying burdens beyond your strength?
Are you at the end of your journey, battling sorrow and pain?

…Then these words are for you.

You can still trust God.

He is faithful. He never leaves us. Especially when it hurts.

Thank you to all my courageous friends and family who continue to set such an amazing example of grace under fire. I am praying for you.

More importantly…

God has an amazing plan for your life.

He has a good plan for every human on this planet. And remember, Jesus died to ensure this hope for us. God uses the pressure of these circumstances to refine us.

In spite of how things look, in spite of how we feel, or what our minds tell us… in spite of any and all circumstances, He promises to be there. He promises He will never allow us to be tested beyond what we can bear. Even though it doesn’t always feel like it.

> Hear what people who trusted God have to say.

Hang on, I don’t know if God even exists

You may wonder why I’m veering into crazy town here. I understand.
You may not believe in any god, let alone an all-powerful being who created and sustains the whole universe. You may think, “That’s a lot to swallow. I have trouble believing in Santa Claus too, and I see him at the mall.”

And if you do believe there’s something out there, you may not think he/she/it cares so much about humans, let alone you in particular.

That’s ok! I just wanted you to know, I’m praying for you too.

You might even go a step further and say, “Alright fine, God exists! If He cares sooo much, then why would they let this happen to me/my friend/my family!”)

Even if you believe God cares, and even if you believe He has a plan, you may still take issue with how He runs for the universe. I know do. I think I can run things better on a daily basis. Which is why I’m not the friend, daughter, sister, wife, etc. that I could be.

But Good News: He’s still there when we fail. He’s still there when we don’t trust Him. He still welcomes us back every time. He gives us the strength, peace, and wisdom for one more day. And He is there when the day is done.

His love never fails.

So, yes. You can trust Him.
